Taenia sp. egg -ovoid to spheroidal, shell-less, yellow- brown containing an oncosphere in faeces of humans -- saline preparation. nb eggs of T. solium are similar to those of T. saginata but tends to be more spherical - 31 - 43 microns so identification to species level cannot be done with eggs alone.
